Why the screen takes away our happiness?

Many years ago, people spent most of their free time on sports, reading, and talking with friends. While after the appearance of telephone, people prefer to play with their telephone rather than go out with friends or family. According to recent researches, apart from the time of sleep and work, most of our time is spent on looking at telephones. Personally, I nearly hold my telephone all the time, besides when I sleep.

The research data shows that when we use telephone Apps on relaxation, exercise, weather, reading, education, and health, we feel happier. But the average time which we spend on them is 9 minutes per day. We spend 24 minutes per day on those Apps such as dating, social networking, gaming, entertainment, news, and web browsing, which made us feel anxious. So I wander why we pay more attention on those Apps make us anxious rather than those more happier Apps.

The reason is that there are stop signals to remind you stopping when we are read or exercise. For example, when we finish a few chapters, it will gives us signals to stop. While, the games, news and web browsing never remind us of stopping to do other things. So some Apps take away our more time. And then, the first kind of Apps will bring our spiritual satisfaction, so the time spend on them is worthy and make us happier. The second kind of Apps only kill our time, but fail to bring us knowledge.
All in all, the internet is double sword, so how to use it wisely will decide our future.
